The existence of a new planet in our galaxy, the Milky Way, continues to be a topic of interest for astronomers and space enthusiasts. Recent discoveries show that our galaxy is filled with possible new planets. With the help of advanced technology such as space telescopes and space missions, scientists have succeeded in identifying different types of planets around different stars. One of the main methods of discovering new planets is transit photometry, which utilizes observations of starlight. When a planet passes in front of a star, the light received from the star will temporarily decrease, giving a signal that the planet is present. The success of this mission highlights the diversity of planets, including gas giants, rocky planets, and planets with unknown compositions. The use of the power of artificial intelligence (AI) further increases the efficiency of planet searches. AI algorithms can analyze big data from space missions to identify signs of planets that humans might miss. With this progress, the potential for discovering new planets is even greater. Astronomers are also interested in planets outside our galaxy, including neighboring galaxies like Andromeda. Research on other galaxies provides a broader view of the distribution of planets in the universe. With the development of future telescopes, such as the James Webb Space Telescope, the discovery of more new planets in the galaxy will become a reality. The existence of new planets is not only scientifically interesting, but also has a significant impact on our understanding of the origins and evolution of the universe. Further research could provide us with more in-depth information about how planets form and whether they might have the conditions to support life. These discoveries will help build a bridge between scientists and the public to learn about the wonders out there.
